    DYAD Travel Opportunity

    • PanamaAs part of HISD’s DYAD program, certain seventh- and eighth-grade students are eligible to participate in exciting field trips at no cost to their families.  

      For this school year, our eligible eighth graders will have the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica or Panama for five days. Eligible seventh graders will have the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. or Boston for three days. To be eligible, students must have no school suspensions and no more than ten absences.  

      The trips will take place during the last week in May through June. Students from 27 NES Middle School will travel both internationally and domestic with staff chaperones from each campus. There may be more than one trip per location and grade level, depending on how many students sign up to go.  

      HISD will fully cover the cost of these trips, including passport application fees for eighth-grade students traveling internationally who do not already have that documentation.
