Students must meet the following eligibility requirements in order to apply:

• HISD Booker T. Washington High School senior at the time of application submission
• Must enroll in a workforce education program/certificate program by Fall 2021
• Minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

1. The application must be completed in its entirety.
2. An official high school transcript must be submitted.
3. Proof of enrollment to a technical/vocational certification educational program
4. If selected, the student must commit to a minimum of four hours of community service (virtual or in person) with the Texas Spring Cypress Chapter of the Links, Incorporated or with their institution of higher education (college or university service learning project) within one year of the award.
5. An essay (maximum 250 words) addressing one of the following topics:

• Describe the benefit of a career/technical education and your career goals.
• How can you help give back to your community?
