Nutrition Service Awards

  • Sponsoring Organizations: HISD/ARAMARK Food Services Department

    Eligibility: Cafeterias, team leads,and Food Services attendants qualify to be nominated for the Cafeteria of the Year, Team Lead of the Year, and Spirit of Service awards (respectively)

    Nomination Process: Employees and campuses are nominated by their supervisors or area managers based on a variety of factors, including ability to meet performance targets, a willingness to help others, and feedback from principals.

    Selection Process: A committee made up of directors and the general manager evaluates all nominations, visits schools, reviews customer surveys, and provides its final recommendations.  One team lead and one cafeteria are selected per service region (for a total off our awards). One cafeteria is also selected as Cafeteria of the Year. For Spirit of Service awards, one award is distributed per area of service, for a total of 16 recipients.
