Plant Operator and Custodian of the Year

Sponsoring Organizations: HISD Construction and Facility Services, Operations Division
Eligibility: Only active plant operators and custodians (respectively) qualify to be nominated for these awards
Nomination Process: Employees are nominated by team leaders, based on performance metrics (monthly building inspection scores), staff reviews, and feedback from principals.
Selection Process: Finalists advance to the district level for consideration, where two plant operators and two custodians (one elementary and one secondary of each) are chosen to be the district’s honorees of the year.
