The Infrastructure, Engineering and Operations division is the foundation and support of all infrastructure technology services and solutions for schools and administrative support offices within the Houston Independent School District. Support provided includes field support, data center, and the installation and maintenance of desktops, servers, storage, and wireless and wired networks.
 
The division is focusing on leading the development of the architecture for the Information Technology infrastructure, ensuring the proper design of that infrastructure, implementing controls for new systems and applications, executing system upgrades, and integrating applicable new technology into the classroom, as well as providing excellent levels of customer service for all users of technology within HISD.
