  • DISTRICT-WIDE HVAC SCHEDULE

    The standard schedule per campus type is listed below:  

    ES      5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    MS     5:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    HS      5:00 AM – 7:00 PM

    During summers, the standard HVAC schedule is 5:00 AM – 4:30 PM for all campuses.     For additional HVAC run time, an extended hours HVAC schedule request must be submitted online by the campus principal or designee.   
     
    If the request is for a community organization to use your campus facilities, then please refer the representative of the organization to the Facility Rentals page
     
    DISTRICT-WIDE HVAC SET-POINTS
    Houston ISD’s standard set-points during occupied hours are 70°F – 74°F for temperature and up to 60% for relative humidity.
     
    DISTRICT-WIDE LIGHTING SCHEDULES
     
    Interior Lighting 
    5:00 AM – 11:00 PM
     
    Exterior Lighting
    Most of our campuses utilize an astronomical time clock that gradually adjusts the lighting schedule based on the time of year.
     
    Lights OFF 20 minutes after sunrise
    Lights ON 20 minutes before sunset 
     

    OR

    For campuses without astronomical time clocks:

    Lights ON at 4 AM
    Lights OFF at 7 AM
    Lights ON at 5 PM
    Lights OFF at 11 PM
