Staci Taylor — Assistant Superintendent of Leadership Development and School Support

  • Staci Taylor has worked as a teacher, instructional coordinator, school improvement facilitator, principal, adjunct professor, assistant superintendent, and most recently as the Officer of Student Assessment for HISD. Taylor earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Sam Houston State University and obtained a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University. A product of HISD, Taylor is committed to ensuring all students receive a quality education regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or socio-economic background. She has taken an unprecedented approach to managing and designing the district’s assessment resources to ensure school leaders, teachers, students, and parents have access to tools and services that positively impact student achievement, support special populations, and promote college and career readiness. Taylor is highly regarded as a leader in urban education through working tirelessly to provide educational opportunities for underserved communities.
