Daniel Soliz — Interim Central Division Chief

  • Dr. Daniel Soliz is a transformational leader currently serving as the Senior Executive Director of Support for the Central Division of the Houston Independent School District. With a strong commitment to fostering a high-performance culture in public education, Dr. Soliz has dedicated his career to enhancing student outcomes and ensuring all students have access to high-quality instruction. 

    His experience includes coaching school leaders, overseeing central office departments, and creating strong systems for the 85 schools in HISD’s Central Division, resulting in significantly improved academic performance. Before joining HISD, Dr. Soliz was the Director of Student Services and Future Readiness for the Allen Independent School District.

    Dr. Soliz holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from Texas State University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, and a Doctorate in Education from Abilene Christian University with a Superintendent Certification. 

    As the 2024-25 school year progresses, Dr. Soliz remains committed to supporting the Central Division’s 85 schools, focusing intently on instruction and student outcomes.
