TITLE I, PART A PARENT AND FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
Welcome parents! Title I, Part A Parent and Family Engagement affords parents meaningful opportunities to participate in their children's education. Title I resources support activities of the district’s Family and Community Engagement Department (FACE) in building capacity for effective parental involvement, which includes training parents on how to work with their children to improve academically and training to improve their own literacy and parenting skills. Public Comments on the ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application

ESEA Section 8306(a)(7) and the ESSA Program-Specific Provisions and Assurances requires Houston ISD to receive public comment before the ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application is submitted to TEA. Houston ISD is projecting to submit the 2024-2025 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application on Friday, June 28, 2024 for all ESSA grants Houston ISD is eligible to receive.

The public comment period is from May 20, 2024 to June 7, 2024.
