Furr High School

Furr High School opened in the fall of 1961 on Houston’s east side. The school is home to the Futures Academy of Petroleum Engineering Technology at Furr. It also offers career pathways in energy and mass communications through linked learning, an educational approach that combines rigorous academics with hands-on, real-world experiences.

New high school to accommodate 1,000 - 1,300 students.
